I enjoy working with words to craft the perfect descriptive phrase and the process of re-examining my word choices to find even better ways to express an idea. I also love digging into a written piece with my red pen to painstakingly examine every word, letter and punctuation mark.

I bring the optimal blend of education and experience to every task. I have more than ten years of experience as a published writer, copy editor, proofreader and graphic designer. I hold a bachelor’s degree in journalism & mass communications from Kansas State University.

I have worked as a reporter, copy editor and graphic designer at a daily newspaper; performed writing, editing, design and other public relations functions in a university fundraising organization; and served as publications coordinator for a law school, which involved writing, editing, proofreading, design, dissemination of press releases and publication of a twice-yearly alumni magazine.

Attention to detail is important in publishing, and I take a great deal of pride in my ability to create a polished, accurate finished product.
